Department of Architecture

The course aims to develop students’ ability to critically analyze and integrate the interrelations of place, space, tectonics, and program within diverse social, cultural, and spatial contexts. It seeks to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to design comprehensive architectural projects that incorporate passive and active environmental control systems, energy efficiency strategies, and sustainability criteria in relation to other building subsystems. Furthermore, the course enhances students’ capacity to evaluate the environmental and macro-scale impacts of architectural design and to translate these analyses into coherent conceptual and spatial strategies. Ultimately, it fosters the application of universal design principles, including sustainability and accessibility, to encourage the development of original, innovative, and contextually responsive architectural solutions
