Digital Systems

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to introduce students to the foundational principles of digital systems and their implementation. Students will learn number systems and binary arithmetic, understand logic gates and Boolean algebra, and apply minimization techniques for gate-level circuit design. The course also covers arithmetic operations, and the analysis and design of sequential circuits. Through topics such as registers, counters, memory structures, and basic micro-operations, students will gain the necessary skills to design, model, and analyze digital systems used in computing and embedded platforms.
