Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Turkey’s political, social, economic, and diplomatic transformation from the Armistice of Mudros to the end of the Second World War. The course enables students to analyse the National Struggle, national sovereignty, the foundation of the Republic, political regime-building, modernisation reforms, and foreign policy within the framework of historical continuity and change.
