Course Contents

The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Turkey’s political, social, economic, and diplomatic transformation from the Armistice of Mudros to the end of the Second World War. The course enables students to analyse the National Struggle, national sovereignty, the foundation of the Republic, political regime-building, modernisation reforms, and foreign policy within the framework of historical continuity and change.

Assessment in this course consists of a midterm and a final examination. Students are expected to comply with the principles of academic integrity during both examinations. Cheating or attempting to cheat, assisting another student, taking an examination on behalf of another person, or using any unauthorised material or digital device constitutes a violation of academic integrity. Any identified violation will be subject to the relevant regulations and disciplinary procedures of the University.
