Tanju DEVECİ

Prof. Dr. Tanju Deveci completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Adult Education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Ankara University, in 1994. In 1995, he obtained a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate from Aberdeen College, Scotland. He earned his first master's degree in Adult Education from Ankara University in 2003 and, in the same year, completed a second master's degree in Foreign Language Education at Middle East Technical University. He received the Cambridge COTE (Certificate for Overseas Teachers of English) in 1999 and the Cambridge DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Adults) in 2002. In 2011, he completed his doctorate in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education at Ankara University. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Educational Sciences (Lifelong Learning) in 2018, in English in 2019, and in Linguistics in 2022. In 2026, he was promoted to the rank of Professor.

Between 1999 and 2003, Prof. Dr. Deveci served as a lecturer at Bilkent University School of Foreign Languages. He then worked as a lecturer at Sabancı University School of Languages from 2003 to 2012. Between 2012 and 2019, he served as an Assistant Professor in the English Department at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and as an Associate Professor at the same institution from 2019 to 2023. Since 2023, he has been serving as a faculty member at Antalya Bilim University.
